World Championship Team Silver!

Boyd started the season with a win aboard Fedarman B in the CCI4*-L at Tryon in early spring, before notching a fourth place finish with Tsetserleg TSF in the 2022 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. He was named to his fourth consecutive Land Rover U.S. Eventing World Championship team with Tsetserleg TSF, helping to produce the first team-silver medal in 16 years in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy. He finished ninth as part of the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team at the Boekelo CCIO4* with Fedarman B later that fall, and closed out the year earning USEA Rider of the Year awards for the 13th time in his career.

Winner

Boyd wins the inaugural Maryland CCI5*-L with On Cue after making his third Olympic Games appearance in Tokyo, Japan, aboard Tsetserleg TSF, where the pair finished 20th individually. Boyd also took the win at the U.S. Eventing Advanced Championship and was the CCI5*-L National Champion with On Cue with a second place finish at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L

USEA/ USEF
Winner

Riding Long Island T, Boyd once again topped the USEA/USEF Advanced National Championship after a long delay of competitions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He then captured the USEF CCI4* National Championship title board Tsetserleg TSF in November after a strong showing in their final outing of the year.

Lima Panam Games
Winner

With Tsetserleg TSF, Boyd helps secure team gold and wins individual gold at the Lima Pan American Games, qualifying the U.S. team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Boyd and Tsetserleg TSF also were crowned CCI5*-L National Champions after finishing second at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L.

Boyd and Crackerjack finish 7th at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L before he piloted Steady Eddie to a 10th place finish at the Burghley Horse Trials CCI5*-L.

Selected to his second U.S. Olympic Eventing Team, Boyd and Blackfoot Mystery finish in 16th place individually at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. Boyd also finished 6th with Blackfoot Mystery at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L and 12th place with Shamwari IV, before taking 6th place at Luhmülen CCI5*-L with Crackerjack.

Team Gold

Boyd and Pancho Villa help the U.S. Eventing Team secure team gold at the Toronto Pan American Games, where individually they finish fourth. Boyd and Master Frisky finish 7th at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L. Boyd and Silva welcome their first child, Nox Christoph.

Boyd makes his second world championship appearance for the U.S. Eventing Team at FEI World Equestrian Games Normandy 2014 with Shamwari IV. The pair finish as the highest-placed individual U.S. combination in 7th. The pair also finished 3rd place at the Luhmülen CCI5*-L earlier that year.

Following a horrific barn fire that took the lives six horses, Boyd finishes in 7th place with Neville Bardos at the Burghley Horse Trials CCI5*-L. He also finished in 7th at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L with Remington XXV.

for the U.S.

Boyd is named to his first championship for the U.S. with Neville Bardos for the FEI World Equestrian Games Lexington 2010. The pair finished in 10th place individually. He and Neville also finished 4th at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L that spring, with Rock on Rose finishing in 11th, and Remington XXV taking 12th. Boyd also took a top ten finish with Remington XXV at Les Etoiles de Pau CCI5*-L later that fall.

Boyd is born to Toy and Ross Martin, who first met at the 1968 Winter Olympic Games in Grenoble, France. Toy was a U.S. speed skater and Ross was competing in cross-country skiing for Australia. Boyd has one sister named Brook.
