Boyd Martin Earns 2023 USEA Rider of the Year Award

St. Louis, Missouri – The United States Eventing Association presented Boyd with his seventh USEA Rider of the Year Award, recognizing his top international finishes in competition throughout the 2023 season.

Boyd competed in 63 international events in 2023, with 15 different horses across the levels, which included 15 top three finishes, and five wins at the CCI4* level. Boyd also amassed the most CCI5*-L starts of any U.S. rider, competing in five of the seven CCI5* events in the world, traveling to four different countries and finishing inside the top ten on five different occasions.

Boyd notched major wins in 2023 at the CCI4* level with Fedarman B, On Cue, Tsetserleg TSF, and Commando 3, who was also awarded the Connaught Award for 2023 by the United States Equestrian Team Foundation, providing $25,000 in funding to be directed to the continued training and competition opportunity for the 10 year-old Holsteiner gelding owned by Yankee Creek Ranch for the 2024 season.
